If you own a Kia Seltos and want to make the most of your roof space, you're in the right place. At Kiwi Safety, we regularly install roof racks on Kia Seltos vehicles across Auckland – here's everything you need to know.

Does the Kia Seltos Have Built-in Roof Rails?

Yes! The Kia Seltos (all variants from 2020 onwards) comes with flush rails (integrated roof rails) running along the roofline. These rails have pre-drilled, reserved mounting bolt holes underneath them – no drilling or adhesives needed.

This makes installation clean, secure, and fully reversible. Simply locate the bolt holes, fit the rack feet, and you're done.

What Size Roof Rack Fits a Kia Seltos?

We fit universal cross bars using the factory flush rail mounting points. The bar sizes we use are optimised for the Kia Seltos roofline:

PositionCross Bar LengthMounting
Front cross bar 95 cm Factory flush rail bolt holes
Rear cross bar 90 cm Factory flush rail bolt holes

How Is the Roof Rack Installed?

Installation is straightforward when you know the correct mounting points. Here's the process we follow:

  • 1
Locate the mounting points The Kia Seltos flush rails have reserved bolt holes hidden under the rail. These are the factory attachment points for the rack feet.
  • 2
Position the rack feet Feet are slotted into the correct positions along the flush rail, aligned with the front and rear bolt holes.
  • 3
Attach the cross bars The 95 cm front bar and 90 cm rear bar are secured to the feet and torqued to specification.
  • 4
Test for stability We verify zero movement in any direction before returning the vehicle. The whole job typically takes under an hour.

What Can You Carry on a Kia Seltos Roof Rack?

Once the cross bars are fitted, you can add a wide range of accessories:
